Cherry Chit-Yu LAM

I am a comparative syntactician specialising in Sinitic languages, and have been Assistant Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature of the Hong Kong Shue Yan University. After the B.A. at the University of Hong Kong, I have completed my M.Phil. and doctoral research in linguistics at the University of Cambridge. My main research interests cover both synchronic diversity among Sinitic languages, particularly dialectal variations within Cantonese, as well as diachronic development involved in shaping the contemporary linguistic landscape.
